How we process your images and how long image data is retained.

Our service

Retouchly processes photos to enhance them, sharpen them, or restore old photos. This policy explains where your images are processed, when they are deleted, and how to contact us about privacy.

Image data

  • Processing provider: images leave your browser and are sent to fal.ai for processing.
  • Image deletion: uploaded and output images stored by our service are deleted within 24 hours after a task finishes. Images are stored privately and results are not published in a public gallery. Save the results you want to keep before they expire.
  • Task records: metadata such as time, image dimensions, and success or failure is retained for operational statistics. Task records do not retain the images and are deleted 30 days after creation.
  • No training: we do not use your uploaded or generated images to train models.

Service data and cookies

  • Account data: we use your email address and name, including those received through OAuth sign-in, to provide your account. Account and order records support sign-in, purchases, and credit balances.
  • Free usage limits: we count usage using a server-issued anonymous cookie and hashed IP addresses. We do not store raw IP addresses or use device fingerprinting.
  • Cookies and analytics: cookies support login sessions, anonymous usage quotas, and language preferences. We use Google Analytics for aggregate usage statistics. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google Analytics runs without analytics cookies: nothing is stored on or read from your device for analytics, and only cookieless measurement requests are sent. For visitors elsewhere, Google Analytics uses cookies.
  • Server request log: for search-engine and AI crawlers we keep the IP address and user agent so we can check that they really come from the operator. For visitors we keep only the page, the referring site, the country and an anonymous ID that changes every day — no IP address and no browser information.
  • Payments: PayPal processes payments on its own payment pages. We do not store card numbers.
